Twin Spica VolumeWith only months left in their training Asumi and those left in the Tokyo Space School’s first astronaut training class have a new and potentially defining task at hand From the moment they enrolled these teens were under the assumption that the future of space exploration would be at Twin Spica is a gem one of those series one points to in order to show non fans the best manga has to offer What could be a trite SF series about astronauts in training becomes something in Yaginuma's skilled hands There's such a lovely sense of uiet wistfulness to the story There are complex emotions given room to play out characters with some depth to them Without giving too much away let's just say the end of this volume floored me I also love the shorter pieces Yaginuma throws in to round out each volume This is uality work that deserves to be read and appreciated
