In a tuxedoZoe and John Dalton Hayes are worlds apart and JD is none too happy at having Zoe as a guest in his home But opposites attract and every time they start out disagreeing somehow they end. As a romance I should have rated 2 stars but due to the angst level and good writing 35 stars

This is one of Susan Fox’s lighter books with an independent spunky h and a sweet gentle H but still I felt it fell short of its full potential And the title can be called misleading as this cowboy was not looking for a bride rather the opposite He had been burnt badly by an earlier marriage with a woman with Hollywood aspirations who had almost taken him to the cleaners So he was not exactly happy when a Hollywood celebrity namely the h buys the 13rd share in his ranch from his ex wife and becomes his partnerThe chemistry between the hh was interesting and makes you sit up in anticipation But instead of building on that the author lets it slip by concentrating on just the h and her many uirks and ualities – how sweet and funny and genuine she is how well she rides rounds up the cattle and all the other cowboygirl stuff And so she metamorphosed into this perfect but oh so unloved Mary Sue And the H became of a prop which was such a waste because he is truly a remarkable guy The h has a hidden agenda as to why she picked up this particular ranch in Texas to land up in This subplot simmers for most of the book only to be taken up in the last 3rd of the book and that’s when the story picks up again But I would have preferred the focus to be on the romance rather than the whole adoptionfamily saga
