How to Find Home by Mahsuda Snaith was kindly gifted to me by NetGalley for an honest review I found the concept of the novel to be so interesting it’s inspired by The Wizard of Oz and there’s references to in throughout It’s a story about Homelessness in the UK and follows Molly as she essentially goes on an adventure to find home and a place in the world You can tell it is really well researched and in the acknowledgments Snaith notes the people and organizations that helped her with the research into such an important topic I think this book really opens a discussion about homelessness and it’s a topic that should be talked about I actually can’t think of a book I’ve read that discusses it Unfortunately I had a few little issues with the book for one I felt a bit confused about the ages of the protagonists You get the sense that they’re all supposed to be roughly in their early twenties but they feel younger at times because of the way they act and some of the things they do It definitely feels like a Young Adult novel because of that and I was under the impression it was Adult or at least New Adult but I could be mistaken I also thought that some of Molly’s flashback felt disorienting as they seemed out of place to what was happening in the present But overall I thought the characters were interesting and I especially loved Boy the dog I definitely thought the novel was enjoyable interesting and worth the read 35 stars
